Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera and any additional equipment they typically use where possible. But as these workshops are focused heavily around the mental health benefits of photography it is not a requirement to have dedicated camera equipment. We try to structure the workshops so that participants can use any camera device from smartphone to professional camera.

Absolutely! The workshop will strike a balance between technical knowledge and artistic composition. You will learn about essential camera settings, exposure control, focusing techniques, and more. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on understanding composition, using light creatively, and capturing the mood and emotion of your subject.

Are there any age restrictions or recommendations for participants?

The workshops are open to participants aged 18yrs and older. While there is no specific health requirements it is expected that participants have a reasonable level of fitness suitable to being on your feet and walking for long periods. The workshops are designed to accommodate individuals with diverse experiences and backgrounds. Unfortunately due to the nature of the locations used we cannot guarantee suitable access for anyone with a physical disability.

Will the workshop provide any resources or follow-up support for continued learning and practice after the day?

Yes, after the workshop, participants will receive resources and materials to further support their learning and practice through our private online community. This may include additional online courses, digital handouts, recommended reading and access to an online community or forum where you can continue to connect with fellow participants and seek guidance from the instructor.
